Around the turn of the century, concerts featuring popular music became known as “pops”. Rob Richards and Alex-Zsolt continue the tradition with a concert that brings to life our Mighty Wurlitzer and our 9ft Bösendorfer grand piano, featuring popular American standards and a few patriotic themes that make summer feel complete. Rob Richards is best known as the House Organist for Disney’s historic El Capitan Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, where he has performed nearly 10,000 shows. Alex-Zsolt is a prolific pianist who has recorded nineteen CDs and twenty published piano books. His latest album features a duet with Dolly Parton. We’re thrilled to welcome back these two extraordinary musicians.
We just found out a very special guest vocalist- a gifted super-talent, Mandy Rose Wolf, granddaughter of Disney-legend Richard M. Sherman, will sing some cherished Disney tunes during our concert. Her greatest passion in life is to carry on the musical impact and happiness brought by the Sherman Brothers, as she forges her own path.
This promises to be a fun, memorable show.
